On Saturday, October 12 the exhibition ‘NEW WAVE. Future Voices in Art’ will come to life. You’ll have the chance to experience the works in a unique way—alongside the artists.

Join a talk show featuring Simone Weimans, Marga Weimans, and their mother, Rinette Schotsborg, as they dive into the work “The 4C Body.”

Learn about the importance of Caribbean carnival costumes, through a wire bending  workshop by Elejandro Martínez.

Ameneh Solati makes a livestream connection with the Hawizeh Marsh, where you can witness the situation in a place where the environment is being destroyed and polluted in favor of economic growth. The act of witnessing becomes a form of resistance.

Yuro Moniz will welcome you to her service desk, where you have the chance to purchase the art works in her installation. Yuro is of service to the visitors, she’ll be in conversation with them to find the right artwork,  helping to reconnect with yourself through art.

Frank Remak will be present at the installation he collaborated on together with Nifemi Marcus-Bello. Frank will tell the stories related to the textile design, in which the connections between West-Africa and The Netherlands, through Surinam come alive.

The afternoon wraps up with an exclusive premiere screening of the ‘NEW WAVE’ short documentary, showing how this exhibition is amplifying a new cultural norm. A new normthat already exists, in the margins of society, neighborhoods and disciplines, and is emerging outside traditional institutions.

We close this gathering with some drinks, snacks and music.

Once again, you are invited to immerse yourself in the exhibition NEW WAVE. Future Voices in Art.
