We are open: Tuesday through Sunday from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM
We are closed on: Mondays
Holidays: The museum will have extra opening hours on Easter Monday, Whit Monday, and Boxing Day. The museum is closed on King’s Day, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Day.
On December 24, 26 and 31st we will close at 4:00 PM.

If you have a discount card, please show it at the entrance, otherwise we can’t give you a discount. Without a card or pass you have to pay the full price.
House Rules
Stedelijk Museum Schiedam wants everyone to feel at home here. We also want everyone to treat our colleagues, the building, and the exhibitions with respect. Therefore, we have drawn up general visitor terms and conditions so everyone knows what is allowed and permitted in the museum.
Bags larger than A4 size are not allowed in the exhibition spaces. We ask that you store them in one of our lockers downstairs in the museum. Please note: there is a limited number of lockers, so we advise leaving large bags at home.
Keep this in mind
Taking photos, videos, or film recordings using lights, flashes, and/or tripods (including selfie sticks) is not permitted without prior written permission from Stedelijk Museum Schiedam.
Card Only

Lunch Buffet
In the museum chapel, you can enjoy a cup of coffee or tea with a treat, as well as a vegetarian lunch buffet featuring local products from Schiedam and the surrounding area. We operate on a pay-as-you-can basis. This means you pay according to your means, and our suppliers are guaranteed a fair price for their products.
Can you spare some money and treat someone to a delicious lunch or a cup of coffee and pastry in the museum café? At the ticket desk, you’ll find donation slips to donate a lunch or cup of coffee to someone who can’t afford it themselves.
Accessibility
We welcome everyone. That’s why we do everything we can to make the museum easily accessible for all visitors. We have elevators, a disabled-friendly restroom, and a wheelchair. Read more about accessibility here.
A bowl of water is available for pets outside in the square. They can wait there while their owners visit the museum. This does not apply to assistance dogs, which are welcome in the museum.

By public transport, bike, or car?
We’re happy to give you some tips on how to get there.
By public transport
Trains often stop at Schiedam Central Station. From Rotterdam Central Station, for example, it’s only 5 minutes. Take a tram from there or take a walk. It’s a 20-minute walk from the station to the museum.
Bus 51 and 54 and tram lines 1 and 11 stop at the Koemarkt stop, a three-minute walk from the museum.

By bike
The museum is easily accessible by bike. It’s a 20-minute bike ride from Rotterdam Central Station. You can park your bike on the square in front of the museum.
By car
Paid parking is available in the immediate vicinity of the museum, using a debit card or parking apps. Parking spaces are limited. There are three different parking garages within walking distance of the museum:
